8/17に参加したアースデイ東京ユース×有楽町マルイ共催企画「NEOアワード」の最終選考で、Dream Builders代表、みれいのアクセサリーブランドEcoCharmsが最優秀賞を受賞いたしました！
At the final selection of the “NEO Awards,” co-hosted by Earth Day Tokyo Youth and Yurakucho Marui on August 17, Dream Builders’ representative Mirei’s accessory brand, EcoCharms, won the Grand Prize!
「NEOアワード」は『環境・社会活動家の目指す未来とは。そこに向けてどんな活動をしているのか。』をテーマに全国の25歳以下若手活動家が自分の活動について本気のプレゼンをするというイベントです。
The “NEO Awards” is an event where young activists under 25 from across the country passionately present their activities under the theme, “What kind of future do environmental and social activists aim for? What activities are they engaging in to achieve that?”
上位3名に選ばれると、有楽町マルイさんに無料で作品を展示できる権利をいただけたり、アースデイ東京ユースとコラボレーションするチャンスもあります！
Those selected in the top three receive the opportunity to display their work for free at Yurakucho Marui and a chance to collaborate with Earth Day Tokyo Youth!
他の参加者の皆さんのプレゼンをお聴きして、『環境問題や社会課題の解決に向けて』と言っても本当にたくさんの視点や取り組みの方法があることを改めて気づかせてもらえて、すごく勉強になりました。
Listening to the presentations from the other participants, I realized again that there are truly so many different perspectives and approaches to addressing “environmental and social issues.” It was a great learning experience.
環境問題に向き合っている方は、もちろん自分の活動のことにいちばん力を注いでいるとは思うのですが、同時に、社会全体とか地球の規模でどうなっていったらよいか、という物事の見方もされています。
While those who face environmental challenges focus mainly on their own activities, they also have a broader perspective on what should happen on a societal or global scale.
なので、こうやって賞をもらえるイベントとなるとどうしても点数がついたりしてしまうかもしれないけれど、最終的にはみんな地球を大事にしようという大きな目標を持ってそれぞれの立場や役割を頑張る！という気持ちで、みなさん温かくて優しい方ばかりです。
Therefore, while events like this may involve scoring and ranking, in the end, everyone is united by the common goal of taking care of the Earth, working hard in their own roles and positions. The participants are all warm-hearted and kind people.
そして私の知らないことをいっぱい知っていらっしゃるのでどのプレゼンもすごく興味深くて、これからも仲良くしていただいて色んなことを教えていただきたいな・・・と思う内容ばかりでした。
They know so much about things I wasn’t aware of, and every presentation was fascinating. I hope to stay connected and learn more from everyone in the future.
