I’m Mirei Okita, President and Founder of Dream Builders, an environmental protection team run by elementary school students. Thank you for expressing your interest in us!
We are young environmentalists who care about nature, animals, and the Earth, working together toward a sustainable future. My concern for the Earth began in 2nd grade after watching a video about polar bears endangered by climate change and finding plastic in a fish I bought–these events inspired me to start this team.
Dream Builders began in August 2023 with me and two friends. Since then, we’ve grown and expanded our activities. As our slogan states, “Small Steps, Big Impact!” we believe that small actions can lead to big changes.
Our mission is to provide opportunities for children to learn and take actions toward a sustainable future. We hope to create a world where children can act with hope while contributing to environmental and social solutions.
After a year of growth, we’re ready to expand. To reach more children, we’re crowdfunding to help support our activities and recruit new members.
